Planned acquisition of Locarest by the Loxam Group
The Loxam Group has entered into exclusive negotiations with Locarest's shareholders. Founded in Alsace in 1957, Locarest operates a 66-branch network and realised in 2010 a turnover of 48 millions Euros. Since the arrival of the EPF Partners fund in its capital in August 2006, Locarest has developed its presence in the Eastern part of France through branch openings and acquisitions. It benefits from a solid recognition and an acknowledged professionalism in the construction and landscaping sectors. For Loxam, the acquisition of Locarest contributes to the consolidation of its domestic market and to a denser French presence. Locarest will be linked up with Loueurs de France, one of the 3 French generalist networks of the Loxam Group. The merger of these 2 entities, complementary from a geographical point of view, will constitute a 115 branch national network. The team led by Mr Pascal Burg will keep on managing Locarest. The actual acquisition of Locarest by EPF Partners, its management team and its family shareholders should take place within the upcoming weeks.
